Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As an OB/GYN or gynecology specialist at UnityPoint Clinic, you’ll be responsible for providing a broad scope of care, including but not limited to:

• Seeing 25 patients per day on average

• Participating in shared call rotation (1 weekday per week and 1 weekend every 6 weeks)

• Performing routine gynecological procedures such as:

  • Colposcopies

  • Biopsies

  • IUD insertions

• Collaborating with other physicians, nurses and clinic support staff

• Playing a key role in improving community health outcomes

• Evaluating patient conditions and coordinating treatment plans

• Demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and effective communication

• Working within a collaborative, team-focused environment that values diversity and inclusion

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• MD or DO degree

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology

• Possess or be eligible for an unrestricted medical license in Illinois

• Have valid state and federal prescribing authority

• Be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (J-1 visa and H1-B cap-exempt sponsorship available)
