Primary Duties by Role

Construction Laborer/Driver Responsibilities

  • Planting and Landscaping: Plant and stake trees and shrubs in residential and public spaces, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
  • Soil and Seeding: Prepare topsoil, install loam, sod and apply grass seed.
  • Mulching and Patio Work: Mulch flowerbeds and tree bases, lay patio pavers and create inviting landscapes.
  • Rain Gardens & Playgrounds: Install rain gardens, dry creek beds, playground rubber crumbs and playground equipment including pergolas and outdoor furniture like benches and picnic tables.
  • Special Installations: Build rock retaining walls and other hardscape features with opportunities to train as a Skid Steer Operator.

Maintenance Laborer Responsibilities

  • Plant Care and Groundskeeping: Weed, prune and trim plants, cut and rake grass and keep community landscapes neat.
  • Landscaping & Fertilization: Lay sod, seed lawns, plant flowers and shrubs, apply fertilizers and water as needed.
  • Snow Removal: Clear snow manually or with equipment, ensuring safe pathways and roads during the winter months.

  • Equipment Handling: Operate, repair and maintain tools and equipment effectively.
