Position Summary:

Are you an experienced technologist with a passion for transforming complex data challenges into successful solutions? If you have a background in using SaaS tools like Snowflake and Databricks, you might be a perfect fit for our team. We’re on the lookout for a Pre-Sales Data Principal who can utilize their technical expertise to guide clients towards success through innovative data solutions and architecture.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Identifying Client Requirements and Crafting Solutions:
    Work closely with customers and prospects to pinpoint their unique business needs, then develop effective technical solutions using leading SaaS technology. Your skill in data architecture, particularly with platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks, will be vital in designing and presenting these solutions.
  • Data Architecture Expertise:
    Serve as a trusted advisor, sharing best practices for developing data ecosystems that harness AI/ML capabilities for maximum business value. Proficiency in cloud-based database systems, especially Snowflake and Databricks, is essential for designing efficient migration and adoption strategies.
  • Creating Technical Narratives and POCs:
    Prepare and present compelling, multi-layered cloud solutions that clearly convey complex technical information in an actionable, digestible manner. You’ll also be responsible for proof-of-concept demonstrations that illustrate the potential impact of our solutions.
  • Responding to RFPs and Developing SOWs:
    Utilize your experience in drafting responses to technical services RFPs and in creating Statements of Work (SOWs) that define project scope, resource requirements and projected costs.
  • Technical Leadership and Industry Insights:
    Take the lead in all technical aspects of the pre-sales process, including conducting data reviews, gathering requirements, designing solutions and delivering presentations that highlight the value of our services.
  • Client Presentation and Pre-Sales Expertise:
    Draw on your interpersonal skills to drive client presentations and lead workshops, effectively conveying the benefits of our data and AI solutions.
  • Deal Conversion:
    Use your technical and communication skills to convert leads into closed deals, ensuring client satisfaction and alignment with their business needs.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • 10+ years in data architecture or data engineering, including significant pre-sales experience with a track record of transforming clients’ data challenges into successful solutions.
  • 4+ years in leadership roles within pre-sales environments, contributing to high-impact opportunities.
  • Expertise in data engineering and governance best practices, especially in cloud environments and Agile methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of data architecture principles and practical experience with Snowflake and Databricks.
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal abilities for effective client engagement.
  • Ability to work autonomously within a fast-paced, global team environment, demonstrating self-motivation and discipline.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and support sales efforts.

Compensation:

Annual salary range: $140,000 – $180,000.
