People & Culture Administrator
The People & Culture Administrator position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to key HR functions, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and event coordination. As a vital team member, you’ll play a crucial role in fostering a positive workplace culture.
You’ll support policy development, coordinate employee events and maintain accurate employee records.
This position requires strong organizational and communication skills and a proactive approach to HR.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment
- Assist in drafting job descriptions and manage postings on various job platforms.
- Organize resumes and conduct initial screenings including phone interviews.
- Schedule interviews and communicate with relevant parties to ensure smooth candidate management.
- Onboarding
- Coordinate job offer documentation and manage the onboarding checklist to streamline new employee integration.
- Facilitate start dates orientations and 2-month and 3-month follow-up sessions to ensure smooth transitions.
- Conduct final segments of orientation and probation discussions.
- DeVry Events
- Assist in planning and organizing company events, from monthly team lunches to seasonal celebrations.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to arrange activities for holidays or special days, such as Thanksgiving and Valentine’s Day.
- Employee Records Management
- Maintain up-to-date employee information, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support the People & Culture Manager in policy development and updates.
- Handle recordkeeping for payroll and HR-related documentation.
- Foreign Worker Program Support
- Submit Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) applications for BC and Alberta locations.
- Assist with paperwork and logistics for foreign workers as needed.
- Travel and Event Coordination
- Book travel arrangements including flights, rentals and accommodations, for the Leadership Team and other departments.
- Organize conference and event bookings related to company travel.
- General Administrative Support
- Provide administrative assistance to the People & Culture team.
- Proactively take on tasks and support broader company initiatives as needs arise.

Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma required; post-secondary education is an asset.
- Experience: Prior HR experience is preferred but not mandatory.
