Role Overview: Global Mobility Partner
As a Global Mobility Partner, you will oversee the entire immigration lifecycle for EllisDon’s Canadian and US operations, collaborating with legal experts to ensure a seamless immigration experience for employees. You will be the subject matter expert on immigration, working closely with the People & Culture team and other key leaders to enhance our immigration practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Immigration Process Management: Oversee and facilitate Canada and US immigration processes, including visas and work permits, ensuring compliance and ease of access.
- Visa and Work Permit Assistance: Provide expert support for Labor Market Impact Assessments (LMIAs) and Canadian work permits, while managing the US visa process.
- Cross-Border Transition Facilitation: Act as a liaison for employees moving across borders, collaborating with HR, payroll, operations and other relevant departments to ensure a smooth transition.
- Strategic Mobility Program Development: Design and execute mobility programs tailored for Canada and US immigration, aligning with EllisDon’s overall global mobility policies and practices.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a daily point of contact for global mobility matters, providing expertise to both business leaders and the People & Culture team.
- Relocation Support: Oversee domestic and international relocation processes, helping employees navigate relocations while identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Advisory Role for Relocation Moves: Offer guidance to employees on both domestic and international relocations.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders involved in the relocation process.
